88 Days - September 1st

Somehow, I skipped August! emoticon

What is 88 days from now? THANKSGIVING! Why is it such a big deal? Well, this year, the big family holiday happens to be Thanksgiving. And, since my brother and his family haven't been around here for a few years and have recently moved back, LOTS of pictures will be taken! As of this very moment, I have gained most of my weight back and no longer weigh 191.5. I've got 88 days to get some of my weight off and look decent in photos. Right now, I'd rather NOT be in any photos!



See what I mean? Cameras may add 10 pounds, but I think this one added about 30! And I'm leaning slightly, which doesn't help. (This photo was taken August 17th.) I will try and take photos of myself on the 17th of every month to see if there is a difference, which, if I do this right, there obviously will be!

Wearing my FitBit every day (but the 2 I've forgotten!) definitely helps! I've yet to reach my 10,000 steps a day on a consistent basis, but I've gotten close a few times. My last weekly progress report had me at 38,000 steps for the week. Goal #1 will be to have a weekly progress report with over 50,000 steps! Here are a few others...

2. DRINK WATER! Some days I'm better at it than others. I think I'll print out a calendar that I can mark on the days where I reach my 64 oz.+ water goal. And record it on here, of course!

3. Get more sleep! Since it's currently 1:10 AM, I'm obviously not going to reach my goal of bed by 11:00 tonight! But, with the exception of Monday nights where I don't get home from Wichita until 11:30 or later, I will make every effort to be in bed, lights out by 11:00! No more 2:00 bed time!

4. Exercise every day! I've got group classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Hoop Fusion) and Saturdays (Zumba). That leaves me with 4 other days of the week to do some form of exercise. Whether it's just making sure I walk enough to hit the 10,000 step level or working out to DVDs or on the WiiFit, I've got to do SOMETHING!

5. Quit eating junk! I am the WORST when it comes to buying candy! I'm worse than kids sometimes! Not only is it wasting money, I'm eating stuff that will take FOREVER to get off this body! UGH! emoticon

I'm sure I'll think of other goals as time goes by, but for now, those are good to start with!
