Sore Knee

Saturday, August 31, 2013

I'm not sure what I did, but it feels like I sprained my knee. As long as I'm still, the pain level is a 2. It jumps to a 10 if I step forward with a regular length step. If I only bring the step to be even with my other foot, the pain is a 7. Interesting though, if I side-step, the pain is only a 4. I will take some anti-inflammatory meds and rest it for the week-end. If it's not improving by Tues, I'll call the doctor.

Gosh hope you're feeling better with it soon. My leg, knee and foot pains seem to come and go for no specific reason at all and last for varying lengths of time so I know your frustration - take care!

Fortunately, churches, funeral homes, lots of public places have amigos or wheelchairs.. Let your family help you while they are here...
Praying for you Patricia.. emoticon

Don't you just hate it when something happens over a holiday weekend?

If things don't get better - or it starts to swell up - you should go either to the emergency room or one of those Immediate Care centers. Be careful - and I hope it gets better very soon.

So sorry, Patricia. I do hope you are feeling better by Monday but agree with Barb, if need be, go to your local urgent care.

Keep us posted. I have you in my prayers and so relate!

Hugs, Sunny

Compression (wrap it if you can), elevate it, and ice 20 minutes 3-4 times a day.

If you can't make it through the weekend, that's what the ER is for... hope the plan to "take it easy", ice, compress, elevate gets you through, and for that matter, helps your body heal itself. emoticon

Sounds like maybe you hyperextended it? That's how mine is when that happens. (All too frequently!) I know you know what to do to ease the pain, so I hope you are able to postpone some of your commitments of the weekend so that you can rest, ice, and elevate.

Good luck!

Elevate and ice it-if you haven't tried that already. That doesn't sound good though. Hope your meds and the resting it helps. Take care. emoticon
