Whew...what a month!

August 31 is a significant date for son's birthday, the day Princess Diana died (those days were one and the same, I remember watching the news coverage and crying while in labor) also marks the end of summer because Labor Day is usually close to the 31st.

The last few weeks have been absolutely a blur getting school successfully started for everyone. Thankfully, we all seem to be off to a good start! I'm especially happy that my kids seem so happy and optimistic.

In my library (and campus in general) everything that could possibly be difficult technology-wise HAS district email, new messaging, new library computer system, printers not working. Cannot understand the logic of kicking everything off new at once. So, there's been a lot of mental stress combined with the physical adjustment of getting up at 5:30am again instead of following my own natural clock.

But now that we have been underway for a week, I think I can see things beginning to smooth out. I really hope so! I would like to start tracking again and get back on track with SP. It has been absolutely too hot to even breathe the last couple of weeks...I think we are at 20+ days of 100 degrees or more. I haven't walked or done anything exercise related in 2 or 3 weeks. I'm maintaining the 5 pounds I was able to lose over the summer, but they'll be creeping back soon if I don't get moving...

The main problem is that I have NO ENERGY right now. I am trying to rest and catch up on sleep this weekend. The Texas Sheet Cake I just made for my son's birthday probably didn't help my cause, either!! Goodnight all, I hope to check in more often in September and find some accountability.

    I understand!! I've spent so much time away from SP that I forgot my password...not a good sign.

But, I have faith that both of us can get back to where we want to be. And congratulations on maintaining!! I can only hope that I've been able to do so.

    Whew, you've had a lot of adjusting to get used to! The weather didn't help. It seems a lot of us are looking for September to start and getting back into a routine. Here's to success!

The 31st is my birthday too, so I always remember Diana's death.
Hope you get back on track soon,..happily September cools down nicely
and that makes it easier to get moving doesn't it?
