Got up before 6am today to go kayaking on the Allegheny Reservoir. We did 9 miles, and that means I have paddled the entire length (both sides) of the Reservoir. We started to go up the river at the north end, but the weather was iffy so we turned around and paddled back to the launch. It didn't start raining until we were driving away, so our timing was pretty good. Got home, unloaded the boats, then went and made lunch for everyone. It was ratatouille again. Mom really likes it, and it is pretty simple. I had to go out to the garden to pick the eggplant, tomatoes and basil, so you know everything was pretty darn fresh. Turned out pretty tasty. Mom really enjoyed it. Dad ate it, but I think he would have liked it more with some meat in it. lol!
Tomorrow I can sleep in. I am looking forward to that. Hopefully Cooper lets me sleep late. There is something about having a dog licking your chin that wakes you up pretty successfully. Monday's kayaking trip is very tentative at this point due to the weather forecast. Since we launched 5 times this week it wouldn't break my heart if we took the day off. I have over 40 launches this season, and have covered over 300 miles. Not bad for a little Pungo 120.
It is supposed to be pretty warm tomorrow. I am trying to decide if I want to go for a run sometime tomorrow. I did promise myself two runs this week...
