The End is Near!

The end of the year, that is! Only 4 months left in 2013! Three quarters of the year is gone, gone, gone. My goal is to use this time and make my goal of 136.

There, I said it!

I'm pleased that in 2013 I was able to maintain my 147-150 range even on extended trips. Even though this year I lost my childhood friend, my father, and my former sister in law to cancer. My weight swings are getting smaller and I'm self-correcting faster. Progress is and has been made.

That said, 147-150 is NOT a goal weight for me! It's time to dig back in, get to the nitty gritty and lose the last 15 or so pounds. To do that I've joined BLC23 and am looking forward to the challenge.

I also had an "aha" moment this week from Indygirl.

It's the part about the "old you" vs. the "new you". And it's true! Parts of my behavior just don't fit the "new me." I've developed so many good habits, yet the urge to binge or treat myself (aka eating garbage) always seems to rear its ugly head. So whenever I want to give in to the impulse to eat crap, I'm going to remember that it's the "old me" that is reacting; the "new me" really enjoys honoring her life and commitment with tasty, healthy fare.

I'm ready to push for the finish line! Four months and counting. What are your thoughts and goals for the last quarter of 2013?

    Hey, just a question - how do you spend an hour getting a bird out of a garage? Never mind but I'll bet it was great exercise. Maybe I'll try that!!

    My goal for the last four months.
    1. Daily calorie deficiency
    2. Positive progress every week.
    3. Christmas in Australia!

    I have made some negative progress this year. A couple days ago i was a bit shocked when i realized it was time for fall and summer was almost done. it is late in the year but never to late to start making positive progress,

I will be moving to a new community in about 2 months, so no one there knows the "old" me. What a great attitude to take along to my new digs! Thanks so much to Beth, and you, for sharing it.
