In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. Psalm 18:7 NIV
This evening was a tough to handle - a bad storm passed through my neighborhood killing the power for about 5 hours. It was cooler outside than indoors. I tried falling asleep but really could not get comfortable in an 83 degree building. (70s outside) One thing that I could do was thank God for sparing our lives, and giving me the gift of prayer. I prayed for various things, one of them was for our power to come back on so the church's order of worship could be completed for Sunday's worship service. The other, was for many who have a hard time breathing in excessive heat like myself. All I can say again, is thank you Lord. I will be so grateful when it is cooler than 90 plus, which goes way up into the 100s. I love to walk and couldn't the last 2 days.
