Well, I did slightly better with meal planning, got a few runs under my belt and cut out some of my “go to” processed foods. A major theme during the month was my lack of exercise. The only reason I came closer to my 1,000 fitness minutes goal was because of our backpacking trip. I think I did 3 morning workout for the entire month… And maybe 3 HIIT workouts…
For September, I really want to have a workout schedule written down. Last night Jimi told me he wants to really work on eating healthy and do some intense workouts this coming month. This was totally out of the blue/ unsolicited. (Actually, we did a 3 mile trail run on Tuesday and were huffing and puffing through it, so that may have had something to do with it!). I'm thinking we'll get a workout schedule together with planned workouts for 5 days a week with 2 days for active rest days or to do a make-up workout (his work schedule is really wonky right now).
Honestly, this is exactly what I need right now. It really helps to have him on board to work on our health lifestyle instead of just trucking along by myself. I've been getting burned out from tracking my food and not wanting to exercise.
We're off to the beach in about 30 minutes. I'm not excited about my fluffy stomach, but am excited to get some R&R with the family. I'll probably follow the same plan I did for our last beach trip (no alcohol until after I've had my 8c of water for the day, 10 minute morning workout before breakfast, 100 ab reps before I wear my swimsuit, and only have 1 treat per day).
