It's been a busy month. After having a successful week 1, I struggled with the rest of the month and didn't really put my all into it until the last week or so. As of this morning I'm down a total of 4.1 lbs. I really really really want to hit 5 lbs by tomorrow morning. I'm going to watch what I eat today and try to get some last minute exercise tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I did have a bit of an epiphany moment the other day. I was on my way to church and was thinking about my weight loss this month. I was feeling discouraged about "only" being down a couple pounds and felt that my 20 lb goal by Thanksgiving was not going to happen. Then I had a rather stern discussion with myself about how this was "only" the first month and that I was successful in losing some weight. I also told myself that my 20 lb goal was still completely doable especially since the weather will be getting cooler and I'll be able to get in more walking during the day (not a fan of walking at lunch when it's in the 90's and being stinky the rest of the day!).
So I've had a couple of good back on track days and am feeling good about my loss this month and look forward to working on the next 5 lbs in September. I CAN DO THIS!
