So, I was roped into going out for dinner last night with a good friend and a friend I haven't seen in AGES. We ended up going to Hooters. I figured I'd get a salad or something, which I did, but I also ended up eating two chicken wings, having a big ole glass of beer and eating some shrimp. Not terrible, but that isn't that start of my day of bad eating.

Hubby wanted Corner Bakery for breakfast, so I had got scrambler which was really good. I think it had about 450 calories or so. Then we had another party to go to, so once again, not many food choices. I had some chicken parmesan and a small helping of some fettucine alfredo and green beans. Mmmm.. it was so good. I don't even want to know what I consumed yesterday in calories because it will only make me depressed. I actually stepped on the scale this morning to an extra pound staring back at me. Not a happy camper.

I guess we're all allowed a free day, right? I can't help but feel like I sabotaged myself yesterday even though I know I'll be right back on track today. I worked out extra hard yesterday, burned almost 700 calories, so I dunno, that should help curb some of the shit I put in my body I'm hoping. Sigh.

I'm going to head off to the gym in a bit and go light on the food intake today. I'll probably do the elliptical for a 1/2 hour and then the weight machines for a 1/2 hour. I want to take a walk around the neighborhood too.. our community is having a neighborhood block sale, so that may be fun to go and browse. Plus, we have mondo grocery shopping and cleaning to do. Anything to keep my ass of the couch = good thing.

I decided that I AM joining Tae Kwon Do again. I called a place down the street from my house and I have my first lesson / free trial lesson on Tuesday at 7:30. I'm a little nervous because I am definitely NOWHERE in the shape I was 10 years ago when I took lessons. The master asked what belt I was at, I told him Green, and he was impressed and said if I remember enough, I may be able to start back at that belt. That'd be cool, I def remember most of my stuff (even all of my Korean greetings and salutations, plus how to count). The only thing I've forgotten was the forms. We'll see. All I know is that statistics show you burn anywhere from 700-900 calories in an hour class. I was in the best shape of my life when I took lessons back in the day. Plus I could kick some ass! I miss those days!

Well, I best get ready. I'd like to get to the gym by 9 or so. More later.
