Those darned pants.

Friday, August 30, 2013

So, I have had some success so far in losing pounds, but in the end it's size that matters. Heh. I have dropped 18 pounds, and once upon a time I would have dropped a pants size along with that. Now in this post-40yr old metabolism, no change in pants size. They are a tiny bit looser... it's not such an acrobatic effort to get on jeans straight from the dryer. But, I had hoped to be in a smaller size by this point. Spark Coach tells me that I have to focus on other indicators of getting healthy than pounds lost, but maybe I also have to be patient about changes in clothing. Bah! Patience is not my middle name.

I feel you!! I ended up losing about 30 pounds earlier this year (only to put it all back on because I quit smoking) but I never went down a pants size either. I was just about in the next size down but I still had to jump off my dresser to get in them. Don't get discouraged over sizes though because one brand's size 10 is another brand's size 8 ... keep going!!! emoticon
