E is for Exercise

Thursday, August 29, 2013

1. An act of employing or putting into play
2. The discharge of a duty, function, or office.
3. Activity that requires physical or mental exertion, especially when performed to develop or maintain fitness
From the Free Dictionary

Of course there are a few more meanings, but I'm sticking with number 3.

This is something I need to start making time for again! I want to commit to it, and I keep saying I will, but when morning rolls around, I'm too tired to get up, so I roll over and get another hour of sleep instead. Tomorrow I will do a 25 minute video with Richard Simmons! His videos are fun and not too hard to do. They are low impact and that's just what I need. So, here I am, committing again! We only fail when we quit trying! I am trying again!

Smart choice! Richard Simmons can get you really into it with the music from your youth... if you're my age, that is! I recall giving myself some of his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" DVDs for Christmas a couple years ago, and popping them in with my sisters & their families over... we laughed so much while we moved... what fun!

The important thing about exercise is finding something that pumps you up and you look forward to. Then you'll actually DO it! Enjoy (another great E-word)!
