3 things I've done well this week. Tough task!

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Spark coach wants me to come up with 3 things I've done well this week. Really! Why this week? Ok since the point of this task is to increase positive self-talk here I go.
1)I've encouraged others.
2)I've checked in with Spark coach
3) I've bogged/journaled

Yep! That's all I've got for this task. Stay POSITIVE!

Thanks for the encouragement and support. I know that those are positive steps and I know that even if I am encountering a severe lack of motivation concerning fitness, I am still way ahead of where I was just a few months ago.
The thing I love about SP is that no one lets you get away with the negative, self-disparaging moments that we all go through. 2 steps forward, 1 step back......focus on the POSITIVE. emoticon

Wow, that is LOTS of big-time positive stuff! And I'm sure it's just the tip of the iceberg of other small but significant steps that are getting you to your goals.

Don't feed that little monster that we all have in our minds that wants to be negative and drive us to destructive behavior.

It helps me to be gentle with myself to think of how I treat my darling little 5- and 7-year old nephews. It's easy to love, praise and support them, even when they are doing some borderline horrific things.

"Honey, let me show you how to use that toilet brush", gently holding it to prevent banging of my car....

Bottom line for me is that I can't be truly loving and supportive of others if I can't do it for myself. Gotta fill that cup before I offer it.

I am really careful about my self talk and it has made the MOST AMAZING DIFFERENCE in my ability to support myself.
And, uh, you might not like this, but having attended to this, I find there are NO MORE EXCUSES.
