It was another peaceful morning, I so am loving these. I'm thinking I might have to invest in a space heater for this winter to put on the patio so I can continue sitting out there. LOL!

I have discovered that I need to stop doing push ups. I'm doing them all wrong and it's hurting. So a little research and I found out that I can do planks and it will work the same muscles. I don't have a weight bench, and I have issues with laying down. .... no wait that's not entirely true. I can lay down, but it has to be on my side with my head slightly elevated. So even if I did have a weight bench I still couldn't use it for exercises like bench presses and things like that. But I can do planks and have done a few recently. And they do cause a burn in my muscles. So I'm going to give my arms and chest a break till Monday and start doing planks. I think I have hurt myself, that's why I'm doing a break, but just for my arms.
I did 33 minutes on the bike.
20 squats, 20 leg curls and 20 jacks.
So far today I've done 3430 steps and it's only a little after 11 am. Finding ways to get in the steps when you don't have a job is kind of hard. If I'm close to my goal number then it's not that hard to get a few hundred steps. but when I'm 2000 away and my day has nothing planned, no errands to do, ..... might have to just pedal for a bit.

Yesterday was an off day for me, in two ways. No exercise and I thought it was Friday. .... all day long I thought it was Friday. I was talking about stuff that I wanted to do tomorrow with hubby .... Saturday, but I kept saying tomorrow. He would just look at me kind of funny. after a few hours of this, he finally said that he had to work tomorrow. Me, thinking it's Friday, I'm trying to figure out when he told me he had to work over time. He tells me that tomorrow is only Thursday. Talk about a duh moment. ... and a disappointment. Hubby and I go for coffee and a bagel on Saturday mornings, then the farmer's market. .... Hey! now I got two more days to look forward to our Saturday morning, hehehe!!

    I sure wish I could enjoy that patio with you! :) We do have a deck but don't sit out there much since we got our sunroom several years back.
You can still do something similar to the bench without having it or lying down. Sit out close to the end of a chair and lean back, keep your back straight and you can use your weights well by bringing your arms out to the side then out similar to chest presses. :) Modify is the word of the day! :) Love you! HUGS! Oh, today is FRIDAY! Hehe! And I kept thinking it was yesterday. LOL!

    Your patio sounds wonderful Becky! Do you still enjoy watching your pond and all of the wildlife?

You definitely need to do exercises in the proper form to get both the most out of them and not to get hurt. I hope you feel better soon! Hope your "real" Friday is a good one!!! emoticon

    Sounds like you are really enjoying your new patio! And don't feel bad. I have been having a hard time getting my steps in this week. A lot of yard work & house cleaning-lol!
