Update on Tracking

Thursday, August 29, 2013

What I ended up doing yesterday and think I will continue to do is track my food at the end of the day, kind of like an assessment of how I did for the day. Maybe someday I will give it up completely, but for now I will just use it as a way to review my day and see how it adds up. If I find my totals increasing, it might be time to go back to tracking in the moment.

Yesterday I did pretty well. I'm a little off this week with a cold, but still trying to power through mostly as normal. I ended up around 1,500 calories. I ran 2 of the 3 miles I had schedule on my half plan. I was ok with skipping that last mile. I needed a break before Sculpt It Up class. These are just maintenance miles and I put some time in at least. I took it fairly easy in class too. There will be plenty of time to go hard once I'm 100% again. Yesterday's class was a lot of work with resistance bands. I spent a lot of time sneezing and getting myself tangled up in them. Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself.

Today I'm just going to take it easy and tomorrow I have a long run. I made my breakfast last night and my lunch at the beginning of the week, so I'm 2/3 of the way set up for food today. Should stay on track that way. We'll see what my end of day review says too.
