Achilles Tendon Progress

So I think the healing process has gone much better this time. The air boot really seemed to stabilize the tendon, and this week, with no air boot on, have been slowly introducing back some workout activities that involve the flexing of the tendon. Yesterday was a big test -- shot some hoops at the Y gym. Started out with just 5 minutes of walking around the perimeter of the gym while dribbling a basketball, the 15 minutes of shooting, all a deliberate pace. Did jog after a few stray balls, but never accelerated. This morning, no soreness at all!

Today -- another swim day.
Friday -- Will be mowing the front and back (fenced) yard with the self-propelled mower (picking it up from Sears this evening -- been in for repairs). Typically, front and back (fenced) yard good for about 15,000 steps, so this will be the first big test of the tendon.

On the road on Saturday (West Virginia) so the tendon will get some rest. Here's hoping minimal to no soreness.

    Your doing really well Patrick. Hang in there you will be running and jumping no problem very soon.
