Getting back on track

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Well it's been a long two months of ups and downs. I've certainly lacked motivation and that taken it's toll as I put on 5 pounds over two months. On the other hand I'm happy that it's only 5. It could have been a lot worse.

Thankfully my motivation is slowly coming back. I've been running/walking with a friend every day since Sunday, and it's been great. I'm hoping that soon I'll actually want to start running on my own again. Also, my friend and I are going to do a 6 miler in October, and the goal will be to run the entire thing. That would be super cool for her, and a good warm up for me for my 8K Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.

The next thing I really need to work on is eating right and tracking religiously again. Right now it's a little difficult because I'm working around classes again. I just need to get better at making food for lunch. Little steps.

Anyway, next blog should be September goals. Have to start thinking about those.

Take small steps - track once a day, then gradually increase it. I am trying to measure and weigh - rather than eyeballing.

Sounds like you have a plan...make some simple slow cooker recipes to carry you through the week. Then track......track......track..... that food!

Exercise buddies are great, can't let them down and we both benefit.

This summer was difficult, I think! But you're getting back on track now, which is the important part... today is a new day!

Good time to re-evaluate what you're doing. My summer has been spent gaining and losing the same few pounds - I also need to set new goals.

Good luck! emoticon

I'm glad you are getting back on track! It feels good, doesn't it?? It seems so weird that this summer was so hard to stay on track. That's when it should be easiest!!!
