This summer I've been pretty consistent with WODdaily.com's workouts; usually doing them late morning, before lunch - because I'm lucky enough to be able to take summers off, I could pick the time that was most convenient. Having a convenient time is KEY to being consistent!
But now we are back to the hectic school/work schedule and I need to find a new time. My first thought was bright and early - just up and at 'em! I'm on my 4th day with that and while I've been consistent, my work outs have been WEAK! I find that it is taking me much longer to complete the reps and with less success.
So now I'm thinking of trying to do them in the small window of time between when I get home from work and the boys get home from school (yep, I'm really lucky - home by 1 most days!). But here's the catch with that: that is a BUSY time of day - phone calls and errands and appointments happen, and sometimes I still have work for my night class that HAS to get done, and sometimes I need to fulfill my volunteer obligations at the school. And sometimes I just want to meet a friend for coffee or a walk! I'm not saying ALL this will happen every day - but from experience I can say, I will probably only get 2-3 work outs per week in.
So my conundrum: Is it better to do more workouts with less intensity first thing in the morning and hope my body adjust or put quality over quantity and just shoot for getting the workouts in when I can?
What works for you?
