Doctor's Visit and Recommitment

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Went to the doc's today for my first physical in about 4 years and was totally flabbergasted to find out I grew an inch at some point during that time. I'm 24! I didn't think I could still grow!

I'm happy with the additional inch, for BMI reasons and because since I started being able to where high heels and dresses again, being tall makes me feel powerful, confident, untouchable...which makes me feel safer in social situations. Plus, my older sister is like 5'10" or 5'11" and both my brothers are over 6', so I kinda felt a bit short before. :) Silly, right?

Tomorrow I go bak to the doc's for the routine blood work. And since she recommended taking a multivitamin, I'll have to do some research on that too. Hopefully I'll have more to post tomorrow.

For weeks, I'd been having trouble healing wounds, so I finally did like we do for the patients at my job and gave myself some vitamin C and zin supplements. I only took it for three days, because I wanted to make sure it was okay with the doc before I took more, but still I saw an immediate improvement and increase in the healing of my wounds. It's kind of exciting to see nursing principles @ work!

I had her double-check it. Then I double-checked it again at home! :)

I'm 39, last year I went to the MD and they told me I had grown from 5'4" to 5'5" - still not sure I believe them, it's the only place that has given me 5'5"
