Hi Everyone! So earlier this month I had a bit of a health scare. I went to Urgent Care for chest pains. For the past month my activities have been restricted. The doc said I could not weight train, run or any other strenuous activity.
So I had to be more dilligent with my food intake. I am happy to report that with no activity I was able to maintain my weight!
I was cleared on Friday, August 23rd to exercise again, and I celebrated by completing a 15 minute workout video, because I wanted my body to get slowly get reacquainted with working out. Today, I weighed in at 184, which is 2 lbs LESS than when I was put on activity restriction.
I also forgot to mention that I found out my cholesterol is high again (no surprise there, since my weight is up), so my doc is giving me 6 months to get my numbers down. If they are not down he says he wants to discuss medication....to that, I embrace the challenge and say PHOOEY to the meds! I did it before, and will do it again!
Lastly, my breast reduction surgery is scheduled for November 19th, so I will be revising my fitness goals to accomodate the surgery and recovery from my new "girls". I am SOOOOOO excited!
