Camping Trip

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

We went camping this past weekend, had a great time like the last time. If i was asked a few months ago if i went camping i would say NO. At 44 yrs old,i found i enjoy it. I bought myself a good tent, sleeps 6 (really 4). We cooked hot dogs n smores over the campfire. Had the best turkey bacon n eggs cooked on the coleman stove. It was fun! Best part, lots of exercise, walking the bathroom,to the beach and outlet shopping, lol.

I do miss camping. Maybe I will hit Fort Clinch this year. It's always been one of my favorite places to camp... or Little Talbot Island. There is a HUGE campground in the woods across from the pier and the white sandy beach.

Sometimes living in FL really sucks... like the 105-degree heat. Other times, it is great because you really aren't every more than 1 hour from water... no matter where you are.

I love that you had a great time!

Food tastes so much better when cooked outdoors. Thank heavens for the hiking to offset s'mores. Hugs. Laurel emoticon

Sounds fantastic!! I miss the days when I used to go canoeing and camping with my Mom, but now neither of us can get up and down off the ground and my artificial elbows and bad hands won't allow me to canoe. To me, doing it the way you are is the only true way to enjoy the great outdoors, totally unplugged and just enjoying nature :)
Great to hear from you! Hope all is going well!
