I'm pregnant! I am 16 weeks pregnant as of today. I'm not really showing yet and I still fit into most of my size 12 clothes.
The first trimester was pretty rough. I felt nauseous all the time though I did not vomit. I had a lot of food aversions to stuff that was part of my healthy diet (onions, chicken). I was also so very tired that I didn't keep up with my fitness like I normally do.
So far the 2nd trimester has been great! I feel like my old self again and I have resumed most of my usual workouts.
How long did it take me to conceive? Um... that happened immediately! I was pregnant within the first month we started trying. I was NOT expecting that! I credit healthy living for that because I think when I weighed 60 pounds more, it would have impacted my fertility negatively.
I'm really excited to be a mom! Greg has been wonderful and supportive during this whole thing. He is the best! He's going to be a great dad.
FEISTYOWL I'm soooooo excited for you!!! I'm jumping up and down! Glad the first trimester is over - I always had trouble then too. I hope you feel amazing the rest of the time - I'm sure you're "glowing" with impending motherhood!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!! Lucky you, hitting the jackpot so soon after trying. :) And I’m sure being so much healthier will help you have an easier pregnancy as well. I’m convinced that I would be all kinds of miserable if I were pregnant at my old weight, and my newer healthy lifestyle is what’s keeping me spry and relatively comfortable and active and problem-free – no gestational diabetes, no swelling problems, no clots or varicose veins or anything like that. So good job to you for being so much healthier now so that you can have a safer, happier pregnancy…and once again, congratulations!!!!! 1065 days ago
congrats to you and your man!!! I also for some reason couldn't have chicken my first trimester it made me sick lol. I had no morning sickness though. I hope you have a smooth pregnancy!! I also got pregnant the first month of "trying" but I was not small in size. I was still pretty heavy but I had already lost some weight prior to getting pregnant. Take it easy do what you can and ENOY your pregnancy!! 1066 days ago
I wish I had had Spark People back when I went through MY pregnancies! Maybe I could have avoided gaining 50 pounds! You are off to a great start, and kids are so worth it, even if they do make you gain weight! Congratulations! 1066 days ago
