GOAL: Get Back to Pregnancy Weight

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Now I bet some of you are wondering "who in their right mind wants to get back to what they weighed when they were pregnant"? Well let me explain...

Today I got weighed and the scale said I weigh 186.4#. I have an old driver's license that says I weighed 130#..and that was when I was pregnant with my 5th kid. I can remember that I had just gone to the Ob/Gyn that week and had gotten weighed.
So I weighed over 60# less while pregnant at that time, then I do right now.
Now when I started this latest idea of joining my brother on a diet, I had about 30 weeks until my 50th birthday. That comes out to about 2 pounds a week to lose.

Now everywhere you read states that you should not expect to get down to your high school weight, or some other impossible weight that you have never been before. But I don't think I am being to unrealistic to want to get back to a pregnancy weight that I weighed 22 years ago.

I don't usually hear anyone say they wished they weighed the same as they did when they were pregnant. I guess I am a little unusual...which is fine with me because I like being different.

Well I think it depends on how pregnant one is at the time of that weigh in. But it's a great goal.
