A bad hair day

Ok, so I didn't meet my goals on Monday because I went back to the salon to get my hair re-done, and it took literally allll day. I went to a beauty school last Friday, and she did my roots, but missed a few greys, and my highlights should have been lighter and higher. Well, after day 2, I ended up not so great (top photo). I decided to take matters in my own hands yesterday, and go buy some toner (below photo). So ... a bad hair day into a good one...

I came home and had to go artwork shopping with my Mom for the new bathroom, and other errands, but perhaps it was for the better because I got another day of rest in and I probably needed it.

Yesterday, I diverged from my new workout schedule to just do one workout - the evening power circuit class to enable continued recovery from being sick. Due to traveling and being sick, I missed the class for three weeks and really felt the power circuit class yesterday, especially push-ups and tire flips. I may do just one workout tomorrow as well.

This morning I had a tempo run scheduled, but since this is the first week of the new training schedule, it's a shorter run. That being said, I'm going to move that to Friday, my usual day off, since I ended up taking Monday off. So instead, I'm doing intervals today, which I was scheduled to have done on Monday. Confused yet?? LOL.

Anyway, after my tea I'm out to run! Hard to believe we're already getting into the season(s) that I need to wait for the sun to rise before heading out the door. Soon it will be layers instead of just a sports bra and shorts... I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

    I thought the beauty schools guaranteed their work &would redo free? Anyway, it looks good now. My "naturally red hair" gets a touchup every 4-6 weeks, or those pesky grey streaked roots start showing!

    nice job doing your own hair! I'm glad you're feeling better and are able to slowly get back into the groove of things. Take it easy, though, and make sure you don't sap your energy too much.

    Smart to make changes---you don't want to set yourself further back by not listening to your body and letting it recover. I liked your hair either way---but I never fought the gray---my hair grows too fast to do that.

    You are committed! I'm hoping some will rub off on me. I used to be the one to go walking at the crack of dawn. Now it's like 11 or so. I will use you as an example to get back into my old routine.

Great job on the hair. I color my own hair - I don't want to see how grey I really am. But I've never had the nerve to highlight it. Maybe I'll try - the worst that could happen is that I have to dye it again.

    Definitely better after your additional work--I like it! Do take care of yourself and listen to your body, better to take the time to rest and fully recover if needed than to push it too soon. Enjoy your run; I am already missing the longer days of summer, much as I love the fall!

    I definetly like the new hair better than the bad one. If you are sick, be sure to give your body enough time to rest!
