Weather getting in the way...

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

It is drizzling at the launch site for where we were going to go paddling tonight, and the forecast is for thunderstorms along the lake shore, so we are taking a pass on kayaking tonight. Hopefully we can paddle tomorrow night, but there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow too, so we will wait and see. This will give my blisters a little time to heal anyways.

I had 4 girls and two dogs walking with me this morning. Cooper seemed to enjoy the company and walked without complaint for an hour and a half. Can't say the same for the girls. lol! It looks like I will have both of my nieces for a half day on Tuesdays, and possibly a half day on Thursdays as well. Tuesday afternoons I will probably be driving my mom to the wound care clinic in Jamestown. Dad drove today, but the semester is starting at the college and he works as an accompanist at the school of music, so he will have lessons and rehearsals starting soon. I think it would be a good idea if we could put the renovation project at their house on fast forward so I can move in fairly soon. It would make life easier for pretty much everyone (except maybe me and Cooper...). Mom really needs someone around and if dad is at work then she is alone at the house for hours. There is only so much I can do for them living in town.

I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are making the kids walk with you! It is refreshing to hear someone is stepping in front of those stupid electronics and TV!! Keep them moving!!!!! emoticon

sometimes the weather forces us to change our plans, the kind of activity, whatever- glad you chose to stay safe. If this weather pattern holds though, maybe it will give opportunity to blitz the reno this weekend and get 'er done. You have made amazing progress in clearing the way so it can happen. In your posts since your mom came home from hospital you haven't hinted at any friction over the idea. You are incredibly healthy now, half the size yet twice the woman that you were when you lived at home before. You seem to enjoy a good relationship with all your local family- that is a gift. I believe you and Coop will adjust to country living without much difficulty. Town is just a walk away, emoticon and if things are stressful you can run away emoticon (2 activities that were beyond your ability before).
as I type this I can't get the theme song from Green Acres out of my head...country living is the place for me

So Chandra,, if I read this correctly,, ur moving in w/ur parents to help out? I did this also at one point. It was TERRIFIC For me to help out Mom while she went back to school for both her GED than to do hair,, her LIFE LONG DREAM and ALSO some painting classes,,, she painted,, as does my youngest brother,,, my niece is in college for it,,, my GD went to a tech school and got an education in HS that's equal to college in the arts,,,,and myself as you may of seen some of my work,,,I did a blog with some,,,and more are on my page. ,,, so with Mom gone A LOT I "HAD" (I Felt FORCED !") to take of the "Step monster" (father ,step) and he was an $$$ growing up,,,,, but he was very sick,,,i can NOT SAY I was NICE to him as his nurse. ::) I DID GET back at him for what he did to us kids,, THREATING HIM IF he TOLD ANY1 the next time his alarm went off (Had a trac) I would simply NOT respond,,,and he'd die the death he DESERVED !!! So yeah, he kept his mouth SHUT !!! I guess we can say I was very angry,,, thanks to therapy ,,, I've made some peace about what he did. but ! its in part why my back is so bad,,,, he kept kicking me DAILY from the age of 13 to 19 (I didn't grad HS til then) in the SAME SPOT on the hump on my back. So yeah,, I STILL feel it all the time.

I hope u will be very happy there. My Mom had it so the upstairs was fixed into my own apt,,, livingroom, kitch, bedroom, bathroom. It was very nice !

NICE On ur walk !! LOL kids now a days, DO NOT LIKE going OUTSIDE !!! ALL 4 of my grands, except for Tamissa DO NOT LIKE IT and PREFEr their electronics. SIgh !!!!
