Freezer Meals,Sept Goals

I've heard about these for a while now and if you know me , I have been meal prepping for some time . Though lately I have been craving home cooked food . So I have been trying really hard to make meals healthier and have that home cooked feel .

I have only made two so far , Chicken Broccoli Alfredo & Taco Black Bean Soup. I do have a bunch of recipes that I want to try out before I make a whole batch of freezer meals.

Of course it just another reason for me to use my slow cooker. emoticon

Have you every freezer meal prepped ? Do you have any meals that are a fav ?

Yesterday I was able to get in a 25 min workout not the greatest but it was a workout. Today after laundry is done going to get some cardio and yoga in . I am more excited to go to yoga class , I am just dreaming of the day where the belly is gone and yoga is more enjoyable. emoticon

That time again is coming up the month is almost over and that means a new set of monthly goals. Ive been playing around with them for some time and I finally got it .

Sept Goals
* Do a fun activity for 25-30 mins burn more than 200 calories anything over awesome emoticon - Big goals scare me and It makes me give up , totally working on that one

* Drink a cup of Green Tea a Day

* No eating out !

Thats its , something simple for me to do . I really dont do well with pressure so I am just going to do something fun , drink some tea and make sure all my foods are packed to avoid eating out .

What are your goals for sept ?

    I made a batch of the Quinoa Meatloaf Muffins by DREWJSPH02. They freeze very well wrapped in foil and are a quick grab to supplement my salad. I love to drink green tea, especially in the cold AC at work.

    Great goals!!
here are my Goals:
- eating sensibly and tracking my food for September!
- 60 solid mins of cardio 5 times a wk!
- keeping up with pilates (what an awesome workout!) at least once if not 2x per week.
- my pants/clothes will not be tight anymore by the end of Sept

And the slow cooker recipe that LHLADY517 shared is a really good one. I use green salsa and add chilis to make it spicy. The corn is canned and I also sometimes add crushed tomatoes. YUM!

    I always have frozen turkey burgers and frozen salmon burgers in the fridge (not home cooked), and a few containers of homemade frozen soup (chicken tortilla soup, veggie soup, and african peanut stew)

    My salsa chicken recipe is one I fix and freeze. It's so easy. 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken. I - 24 oz jar salsa, Cool on low 8-12 hours. Shred chicken, add 1 -2 pounds frozen chicken, 1-3 cans black beans (drained) mix and enjoy. This can be used as a main dish, on lettuce, in tortillas.
