Burning Down The House (Talking Heads)

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Just a quick wee blog to prove I'm still alive. For the past week and a half I had been battling a cold, so I haven't been eating normally, which is why I have seemed so absent.

I'm pretty much 100% again (except for being congested in the mornings) and this week I am house sitting for my good friend (and co-worker) Shelley, who has a pool and a hot tub and I have been taking advantage of these resources lol. It shocks me how many calories I burned from just swimming for 45 minutes after work. What shocks me even more is that Shelley asked me to house sit again since I nearly burned her house down when I did it last year (how was I supposed to know she stupidly kept a plastic dish drying rack in her oven? Seriously, who does that?). Nothing was damaged, I was able to keep it contained within the oven, but still.

So, in short, my eating has been off and now that I'm back to eating normal, I checked and I haven't lost any weight yet, but I haven't gained either. Hopefully a weeks worth of swimming every day will get me down a few lbs. I got my level 10 trophy today so that will motivate me.

In other news, while I'm saving money for my vacation in October to Myrtle Beach, my brother and I are also saving to get our treadmill fixed (I miss my treadmill).

Hope you're all doing well and having success on your end. Cheers!!!!!
