All things considered, Queen AmQ120s, hath made a little dietary decision and is turning it into a mini blog.
Her royal self hath been having a lot of medical tests done recently for various reasons and some confabs with learned types hither & yon in nutritional circles.
Oh, that's a pirate, ignore him. He's trying to hijack this thread with a bunch of blather.
Okay, well, the thing is we here in the Queen AmQ120s little nutritional & dietary preferences world
have been consultin' folks and takin' time out from the world for reflection on the IMPORTANT things (food, food, food & food).
A conclusion hath been reached that much as Q. Am hath taken to the GLUTEN FREE lifestyle and diet, it hath been brought to her consciousness that in fact, being GL for six months hath not really advanced her health or lifestyle at all. She is not celiac. She may or may not have a mild gluten intolerance. All parameters being equal, she hath decided to slowly reintroduce gluten to her range of foods, carefully.
She did, today, say hello again to an old friend, a hamburger on a bun.
She ate half the bun only.
This is monumentally sad in some ways and joyfully joyful in some ways.
Feels a little like decades ago when she stopped being a vegetarian.
These are both great ways of eating, but in the light of some other things going on in life at the moment, the added restrictions of avoiding a major component of food that she doesn't have to remove is just not needed.
She will continue to be interested in gluten free eating as she has continued to be interested in vegetarian (not vegan) eating since the long ago day she said farewell to that lifestyle.
