Ch Ch Changes

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Well, I waited until we returned from vacation to try to hit the weights. I had jammed my shoulder again when I got tossed in the waves but I thought I'd give it a shot. Nope emoticon not happening. I went back to the Chiro yesterday and although I got a little relief, he did say everything had locked right up again. I am considering just getting an MRI of my shoulder just to be sure there isn't anything torn.

So, I re-did a meal plan for myself based on my not being able to workout and cardio is really only when I'm not in a lot of pain. How things can change so rapidly is just mind blowing emoticon . But anyway, 2 days into my "new" plan and I feel better just cleaning up my food choices. While we were away, I just tried to not think about it. I didn't pig out all the time, but if I wanted an ice cream cone with the kids, I had one. (Mmmmmm, coconut chocolate chip on a waffle cone emoticon ).

But, I do feel better already (at least my stomach does). I even think I see a little of the bloating has left already.

I recently have had an onslaught on new meal plan clients who have reported in with success stories -- which makes me thrilled. Election/campaign season is picking up and school starts next week.

Just keepin on keepin on.

Shoulder pain is NOT cool. I pulled my shoulder and arm muscle last November, JUST BY PUSHING to a seated position after lying down. !!!!!!!! It did not heal for TWELVE WEEKS!!!! It turned out that I had to have major surgery for a cyst on my ovary so I purposely let my arm rest for several more weeks.
Now I'm fine.....but I do get scared about possibly pulling that muscle again! ow!

    Be blessed!

Eeek! The shoulder pain does NOT sound like fun! But you are doing the right thing by adjusting your diet, rather then trying to adjust your exercise! I think I too need to follow your example!!!

Thanks for the inspiration! Glad you are still doing well, Mel!

Hang in there - It seems as though you are making the necessary adjustments to make this work and continue working regardless of the monkey wrenches tossed your way. You can and ARE making this work.
