Those of you who know me, know that I don't have any of the techno devices so I won't be using this...but almost makes me want to get smarter with a smart phone (like PLAYFULKITTY) is doing. This came in today's e-mail from the Cleveland Clinic. I love the idea of being chased by Zombies to get me inspired to "kick it in"!!

Make fitness more fun with a smartphone app that turns your workout into a role-playing survival game. Apps like Zombies, Run! and BullDash narrate a story while you’re exercising and alert you when zombies are approaching or bulls are charging. You have to pick up the pace to escape them! These workout apps are based on interval training — short bursts of strenuous activity are interspersed with a steady, more moderate pace. Research suggests that this type of training encorages you to get into shape faster; intense exercise of intervals may also be important for brain growth. Interval training removes the monotony from a walk or run. So hit the road and have fun!

    I downloaded this on my son's iPod and occasionally nab it to walk/jog/run at the high school track while he's doing band rehearsal. It's really pretty gripping! They really DO sound like they're right behind you! Very motivating!
