Northern California

I've been back to NoCal from No Oregon since Thursday. The drive back was 14 hours but I had a friend riding to Cali with me so the drive was very uneventful but full of talking, story telling and laughter.

Since being back exercising is non existing. The smoke in the area from the fire around Yosemite just makes it impossible. There is maybe an hour a day without smoke hanging in the air and/or the smell is gone. So it's in the house, with the temps in the high 80s low 90s the window fans bring it in so at night the windows have to be shut even with the low temps into the high 50s. The a/c is run but there's just no way of getting away from the smoke.

The fire is the 10th worse fire in Cali history. I dispatched fire and medical for the State of CA and retired in 2008. Remembering when fires happen it's truly a state wide and national effort to fight fires. The men and women who partake in the firefighting effort are some of our nations finest hero's.

So just trying to keep intake in check and with output limited just doing the best I can.

Hoping your week is going well... fall is around the corner and I'm looking forward to some cooler weather.

It's too bad that the fire went out of control, but I hope that it doesn't get more dangerous than it has been. Stay safe yourself. emoticon
