Thanks peeps! I watched ~1.5 movies last night - though I didn't watch them all in bed! I actually got up & made dinner & all that good stuff.
This morning, I didn't get up when my alarm went off (...do I ever?) but I went RUNNING anyway.
The loooooooooooooooooooooooove is back. I LOVE IT!
I did just about 2 miles today (2.5 on Saturday, I think). Both times a mix of walking and running, but I felt better today & went faster!
My average speed (I have a GPS app on my phone to track my run) was 3.8mph.
MATH TIME AGAIN! 3.1 miles /3.8 miles/hour = 0.8158 hours. * 60 min = 48.95, or 49 minutes.
NOT BAD! I probably would have slowed down a little if I had done a third mile; still. I haven't been running in MONTHS - almost EIGHT MONTHS - and my approximate mathematical 5k time = 49 minutes. Awesome.
I do have some work to do - first on endurance, then speed. But I'm getting there. I'm still slow & I will need plenty of walk breaks, but I think I have a shot at meeting or beating my Turkey Trot time. (48:27)
I like having my heart rate monitor - I didn't have that last year when I was running. I prefer to time my walk breaks when I know I need them, not before or after just because I've been running for a certain amount of time. Today I was more comfortable at a higher heart rate than Saturday, and I didn't need to let my heart rate get as low during "rest" walk breaks to start running again, so even just the second one in I'm improving.
As for the binge monster, I controlled it pretty well. I definitely had a few "treats," but I finished my day at 1520 which is right in the middle of my range. I have looked at some calendar type things and had the "OH DERRRRR" moment, so at least I know WHY I'm battling the binge monster. And that it will be gone soon. hahahaha.
My week is looking pretty good - Last week Thursday & Friday were high (like, over 2000 high) but otherwise in the past seven days I've had three days right about in the middle of my calorie range, and one day right at the bottom. Today remains undecided as I'm not sure what I'll have for dinner yet. Leftovers of some sort, so low calorie options abound.
I'm off to get some green salad to go with my chicken salad. HUNGRY FOR LUNCH!
