Long weekends, grandkids and anticipation

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

I'm psyched about the long weekend.. my granddaughters are coming over for the night on Friday and it's always a lot of fun for us... we're going to bake pumpkin cookies (not good for me but they can take them home on Saturday...away from temptation for me). They're always so proud of themselves when they make something. The younger one Cati is 10 and Salina is 12. We will play Aggravation later or Monopoly and I'll have to remember to watch my calorie intake as they both are dying to stay up late, watch movies and have popcorn.... emoticon

We so look forward to having them as we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. Both of us work and they live an hour away from us (in bad traffic it can be up to two hours) so it's not like we can drop in easily other than on weekends and then we're doing the chores that didn't get done during the week. emoticon

So the weekend can't come soon enough for us... which of course will make the week seem twice as long! emoticon but it will.... yay us...

And we'll all have to play on the Wii together of course so that I still get in some kind of workout without taking time away from the girls... that should also be fun... tennis and bowling ... hmmm....

have a great week everyone

Last time we had our local three for four days we stayed very busy and despite the extra calories I didn't gain. I get to fly away to visit our other two for six days including two babysitting days while their parents work. Can't wait for Thursday! These girls are 2 and almost 5.
