Alot has happened over the last week / weekend. I've got exactly 5 minutes to tell it all so I will very quickly summarize it. It's a real rush of excitement when you are finally seeing your goals starting to come to pass.

One big race wasn't enough for me. It was hard to just lay down my sword after the 70.3 and call it quits for the year so I signed up for the Iron Mountain Half Marathon in September and the Whistlestop Half Marathon in October. In November I am going to be travelling to an RRCA seminar for running coach certification.

Also getting my CPR / AED / First Aid training in about a month or so as well to get that lined up for both the RRCA and the ACE certification requirements.

The best part of all is that I met with the gym manager yesterday and nailed down some concrete times to start my classes. This has some real potential to get big and the manager is behind me 100%. If this takes off I will also be travelling to 2 other locations as well to teach. I'll pass that on as I go.

Also, once certified, I will also be starting up a Couch to 5k running group and also a Half Marathon training group. The HM group is mostly aimed at getting first timers across the finish line but is for all runners. In our class we will embrace "no runner left behind". Everyone finishes. The vision is to pick out a local race and that I would see everyone through to the finish line, have a group party at the end, share "war stories" etc... everything that I can think of to really make the first event as memorable as possible so it will stick with them for the rest of their journey.. I know what it has done for me and the sense of camaraderie is something that I never really had but would like to give to others. It's important.

OK...gotta run.... it's off to work...

What are you going to do to reach for YOUR goals today?

In part due to your excitement and encouragement I will be having my first swim lesson on Thursday (attempting to improve technique) and am entering a very informal amateur triathlon on Saturday ( no fee, no sign up, just show up at the blue barn in Maple Corners VT for a 1/4 mi swim, 7-8 mi dirt road bike and 2.5 mi run. I was advised not to wear a wet suit as my triathlete contact told me they threatened to disqualify her last year for wearing goggles and a cap- should be fun!)
