I just want to thank you all so much for your prayers, well wishes, positive thoughts, kind words, etc. for my family. Your out-pouring of love just really touched my heart. I am so very blessed to have each of you as my SparkFriends.
I don't really have much of an update on Aunt Doris today. Her daughter was really tired last night because she hadn't slept & didn't relate what the cardiologist had said other than that there hadn't been much progress.
But I know God is a very big God -- much bigger than our problems & that He is able to turn all this around.
Thanks so much for your prayers!! Y'all ROCK!!!
I'll update my blog with edits today if I hear anything further.
Update: 3:20 p.m. Eastern time. An email from my cousin, Amy:
Mom's color looks MUCH better today! PTL! And all of her enzymes have peaked (another praise)! She is requiring more oxygen today than in the past, so they have ordered an x-ray of her chest to try and find out why. April noticed that she sounded diminished in the bottom left lung but realized the heart attack was the more important issue. I'm glad they are going to check this out because she has had a persistent cough all summer. We are still waiting for a visit from the cardiologist for an update, but provided there is a bed available in the PCCU, she will go there at some point today (yet another big praise)! She is still not able to eat much but April says her body is still in shock and that is normal. She suggested I bring her a milkshake which I did. Let's just say that one medium chocolate shake didn't last long! :)
We brought her Bible, some facial wipes, deodorant, floss, tooth brush and toothpaste, etc. and she was thrilled to clean up a bit but it did wear her out tremendously. She is still in good spirits and we are thankful for the progress, no matter how slow it is.
OK, they are getting ready to take her for the x-ray so I will report back soon.
Blessings to you!
