Monday August 26, 2013 Complaints, Goodtimes, and great wedding.

Monday, August 26, 2013

Last night was great. The weather was great, and the lake was just as flat as flat can be. No waves at all which is a good thing. Lake Champlain has been known to get quite rough. A good time was had by all. The bride(my neice) was gorgeous. The groom was handsome. It was nice to see everyone. My nephews and I were tossing beeds at each other across the table. (We've been known to get into some comical hyjinks). It was fun to talk to both of them.

The food was good as well. There were four different dinners to choose from plus salad, rolls, carrots, and baked potato. I went over my calorie range but stayed under my 2000 mark. It's probably good that I went over my calorie range because the last three days I've been under.

So I'm watching the local news, and we have a major country fair in our town at this time of year every year for the last 92 years. Every night they have outdoor concerts by big time artists. Some people who have just moved in to the area were complaining about the noise at night, and the smell (The fair has cows, and other farm animals) . Seriously, they should have been warned about the noise, or at the very least just keep quiet. This fair has been here at lot longer then they have, and will be around alot longer. Some people just like to complain I guess.

Got all my goals done yestarday. I didn't really get in a walk though. As I said above I went over my calorie range, but stayed below the 2000 mark.

My goals for Tuesday are:

15 minutes of writing
15 minutes of reading
15 minutes of housework
10 minutes of strength training
30 minutes of cardio/walking
staying within my calorie range of 1230 to 1580 calories or below the 2000 mark
spending at least 30 minutes on Spark people tracking my food and exercise.

Maybe in your mind, you knew the wedding and good food were coming and naturally ate less? Sure worked out well for you. Weddings! so much fun.

Person that complained: it happens all over. There are a few people that bought homes in the country, then complain about farmers with 25 cows, some sheep and farm fields that get anhydrous put on (stinky) and then weed spraying. Farm tractors are not that quiet either. So some really being bad neighbors to the ones that lived here most their lives.

Demanding 'rights' is getting out of hand.
I know others that moved by a railroad track and another by an airport
and get very upset many times in a day!

Not me. I accept the flies, noise, smells of the country now that I am used to the routine.
It is what it is.

Wedding sounds great. Glad you had a good time. And after all, one of the benefits of growing up is that you get to decide what "grown up" means.

How did anyone manage to move close to a fairgrounds without noticing they're there? Hmm. Sounds to me like a good place to be. Hope they have great fireworks. :)
