We had a beautiful weekend in North Georgia. More like early October weather than late August and it didn't rain!
DD#2 had volleyball matches on Wednesday & Thursday nights (Won 3, Lost 1) so I wasn't able to run until Friday. We got home late both nights and I was exhausted, so I know she was!
My eating wasn't the best these 2 nights. She played about 45 mins. away on Wednesday, so we ate at a BBQ restaurant that was near that high school. I had chopped chicken and 2 veggies, but then I split a piece of pie with my sister! I was so tired by the time we got home Thursday night (they had to play the late match), I had a bowl of frozen yogurt for dinner!
On Friday I had about an hour after work before I needed to pick up DD#2 from volleyball practice (I'm so grateful DD#1 finally got her driver's license and can take herself to work, etc.). I decided to go back to the hilly trail and run. It was pretty hot, but not that humid. I was still really tired, but I finished a loop (1.6 miles) and walked about .5 mile before I had to leave and pick up DD#2.
I was going to cut grass that night, but I had to go to the grocery store to pick up some stuff to take to the volleyball tournament on Saturday.
DD#2 had to be at the high school @ 6:45 am to ride the bus on Saturday. Their first game was at 9 (the high school was about 30 mins. away), so I was able to go back home & shower and eat a good breakfast (DH made me an omlette before he left for work)
They won the first 2 matches (both in 2 games) and then had to wait about an hour before their next match. All the parents bring food, so they had a healthy early lunch (it was about 11:00). They played their 3rd match @ 12:30. This team was really good, so they lost the match. They were still seeded #1 in their bracket, so they had to sit out over an hour to wait for another game to finish.
I was hungry by that time, but didn't want to leave, so I ate a cheesestick and some grapes. They ended up loosing the last match (2-1). They blew big leads in all 3 games (they tend to do that - even with the games they win). The coach was really mad - so they'll have a hard practice today. DD#2 was really disappointed too - she feels some of the girls are not "giving their all" and are either really tired by the end of a game or they're just giving up.
Either way, I don't think the coach will tolerate this (it is high school sports after all) and might move some girls around and put some on the bench more that have been playing the entire games. DD#2 did really well - she has the most court time for her position, but she rotates out, so she doesn't play an entire game. So we'll see what happens today at practice!
Anyway, they were done by then, so we got home by about 4:30. I took my oldest sister home (she and her husband came to the 12:30 game, but he was ready to leave after that, but she stayed) and DD#3 to a friend's house to spend the night.
I was really tired by then and just wanted to veg on the couch, but I had been cooped up in a gym all day, so I decided to cut grass. The grass was really high and thick because of all the rain. By the time I finished cutting grass, it was already late and I hadn't eaten dinner. I had a Chick filet milkshake earlier when I took my sister home, so I wasn't hungry (kind of felt sick from the milkshake).
I woke up early yesterday and did some housecleaning (since I was gone most of Saturday) and finished cutting the grass. DH was off, but he was working on some stuff for a side job. We thought we were going to babysit my great nephew (GN), but they decided not to go kayaking. My middle sister (grandma of GN) called and said she was coming by after work and that my niece & husband were coming by to try out the new bike seat they got for GN on the greenway. So DH, DD#2 and I rode bikes with them. We ended up riding over 9 miles! I'm actually a little sore today.
So even though my eating has still been pretty wacky, I had a pretty good weekend of exercise & activity. This week won't be so bad - DD#2 only has one game this week, so I should be able to get in some exercise and hopefully make better dinner choices!
