Four Weeks No Junk Food !
One month ago today I began a one week no junk food challenge that is now a 4 week streak !
I plan to continue the streak to see how long I can do this. I’m not missing the junk food or the sweets, chips, pretzels, none of it. When I think about having a snack I think about having something healthy. That’s a new way of thinking for me. I usually go to the cabinet and pick out something sweet or maybe some pretzels. Although pretzels are a better choice than some other unhealthy snacks, I consider them empty calories, and that’s what I’m trying to avoid.
The only sweet I’ve had these past weeks is a piece of cheesecake when friends were here. I’ve also had some frozen yogurt here and there, but that’s it.
This week’s plan –
Starting today until after Mom leaves (she's coming 9/2 - 9/3)
Record foods eaten, no calories
Use virtual post its, not food journal
Optional - calculate daily calories if in doubt, do not record
Record in Daily Accounting journal
Continue no junk streak
Pay close attention to portions
Unlimited veggies, fruits
*When Mom here - may have any dessert I want after dinner, no candy, no chips, no junk*
After Mom leaves - food journal, calories X 1 week
B - cereal/raisins/almond milk
L - baked oatmeal/almond milk
D - burger/thin/chz/salad
S - (optional) yogurt, blueberries
Ex - elliptical/gazelle –elliptical/gazelle, ABBA walk, maybe a swim
