Please explain

If you know me well you know I have been on track with eating for 4 and going on to 5 days now, and so I weighed in this morning and I am UP 2 POUNDS!!

What is up with that?



The good news is that I am going away for a few days, so hopefully the time of relaxation will do us all good!

I will be offline for a while but we don't leave until tomorrow......

IN the meantime I am trying not to let that # on the scale totally defeat what I have accomplished in the last 5 days in terms of reigning in bad habits!

This is the pic of the kids when we told them we were going away, it was a surprise!

    Woo hoo! Surprise trips must be awesome!!! Did you also do their packing? lol

I can't explain the scale situation... it certainly IS frustrating! One of my SparkFriend's (MRS.CARLY) did a metabolism test that proved to her that her metabolism was way lower then she and her doctor suspected, so perhaps you might want to get that checked out too...

    How often do you weigh yourself? I don't let myself get on the scale more than once a week, because it just seems like weight can fluctuate so much day to day. (Have you ever read Bridget Jones' Diary? Hilarious on that front!). Hang in there!

    Cute kids. Focus on action not the scale, unless you want to be frustrated. Focus on the good stuff you're going to eat and being on your feet doing whatever you want. As long as you're on your feet most of the time, you're ahead.

Don't worry about the number of the scale - it could be anything... The important thing is that you are eating better, cutting out the junk and feeling better.
Have a wonderful time at the cabin - you deserve some time away after a busy summer. Back to school soon and everyone will be back into their routines - the best time to establish some new ones for yourself - gym, eating and taking an hour for yourself with the kids at school!
