BLC22 is coming to a close and as part of this weekend's challenge we were asked to evaluate and reflect on the last 12 weeks and make a plan for the 3 or 4 weeks we have off until the next round starts.
There are lots of things I need to work on but the two things I keep tripping over are emotional eating and consistent menu planning. I need to work on how I handle stress. I have been using food as a stress management tool. Emotional eating is an ongoing struggle for me. It is time for me to get serious about how to deal with my stress and alternatives to eating to make myself feel better. Another issue for me is meal planning. I do much better when I have meals planned and snacks portioned.
The thing I did right this round was to start going to the gym in the early morning. Still working on making is a habit but I get a better workout, I sleep better and the gym is quieter when I show up early.
Goals for between BLC rounds:
Lose 1 pound per week.
Get to the gym in the early morning, 4-5 days per week.
Hiking at least once a week.
Get a new plan together for BLC23 - I need a reboot or something to help renew my enthusiasm for this journey I am on. I also need to change up how I am eating . Maybe carb cycling?
Work on alternatives to emotional eating as a stress management tool.
Reclaim a space in my house for me.
My plan for reaching these goals involves planning and stress management. (Menu planning, making time for me a priority and chore delegation for my family.) Planning my food worked well for me while on vacation, I need to take that as seriously while I am at home. Having some of my adult "kids" here is nice but I am stressing way too much. Time to delegate some of the chores. There is a reason I chose my Sparkname. I tend to take care of other people and put me last on the list. I am struggling to get to the top of my own list. I can do this.
