My husband asked me what was clunking in the washer this morning and I had no idea what it was and you can't stop these washers to find out.
When it was done, I found my 1 1/2 yr. old cell phone which one of our son's provides for us. I had left it in a pocket!!!
So we are headed to the Verizon store to look for a new one.
Please, either cry with me or for me!!!

Another drawback of a front loader! Sorry it had to go through the entire cycle of the wash. I'm thinking even the rice method would not have worked after being in there for so long. Bummer!

I dropped mine in the toilet but it was a good thing that it did not have anything in it but water., It worked too, after I let it dry out. Would not do that with the one I have now but they are suppose to come out with water proof ones but not sure that it would survive the washer cycle! emoticon

did you find one you liked? The rice thing has worked at times for me since we have washed, flushed, dropped in the kitchen sink, etc.

I haven't done that one ... yet. Sorry to read your sad news.

I have heard about the rice in a jar-- it works with soggy hearing aids too. I had a customer put her hearing aids in her denture water. yuck.

emoticon emoticon If was merely wet you could have put it in a bowl of dry rice overnite & the rice would have absorbed the water. (P.S.-I have my electronics insured.).
