Well have I ever been missing in action. I really feel bad about it but holy cow what a busy person I have been.

I had my last day at my contract on Aug 16th. My daughter and grandson flew in that day and we were going to drive back to Richmond, BC the next morning. She was supposed to arrive at noon and my sister was picking her up at the airport. Well she arrived but her luggage did not and neither did her car seat.

The airlines gave her a new car seat to use and my sister took her home. I got home from work and no word on her luggage. So we spent the rest of the evening trying to locate it and we had to go shopping to get some things for the baby. The luggage finally arrived at 11:30 pm.

My daughter was supposed to visit her aunt when she arrived but her aunt left a note saying she was sorry but had to go out. So my daughter called her on the Friday evening and she really begged us to go there on the Saturday morning before heading out on our trip.

We did that and ended up leaving Edmonton at 11 am. With stops for the baby we got to Kamloops BC at 9pm and got the last room at the hotel we stopped at and tried to get some sleep. Very hard to do with one bed, 2 adults, a baby and a dog. And we had not had much to eat that day and certainly not good food.

The hotel provided breakfast which we hungrily ate and we headed out by 8:30. We got to her house in Richmond by 1pm, but instead of me being able to go to Coquitlam (where I have a place to stay) I was invited to a birthday party which all the family was going to. So I did not get to Coquitlam (which is about a 45 minute drive without traffic from my daughter's place) until 11pm.

The entire week was getting up, driving to Richmond, going out with my sons, or being at my daughters with the grandchildren and getting back to the apartment by midnight. I tell you I am absolutely exhausted.

Also I could not get internet connection at the apartment so could not post about my travels. None of my children currently have computers and they live on their phones so no luck their either.

Finally managed to get the internet solved and here I am...tired, not eating properly and wanting to sleep.

2 more very busy weeks ahead but I am going to post daily and get back into my routine.

Driving back to Edmonton on Sept 10th and then a few days of RnR (except that I will have my son with me) and then on to a new contract.

Way too busy for my own good.

I know what you mean about travelling and finding a small room and trying to get sleep.

I hope you're enjoying the scenery if anything. I haven't been that way for a long time and I'm sure it will be a long time before I get the chance to go to BC again.

Take care of yourself and try to get some sleep.

Was wondering why you were not participating in the challenge. My question is did you know this was going to be happening before you decided to join?

Welcome Girl! Be sure in this hustle & bustle to take a few minutes for yourself! (Even if it means locking yourself in the bathroom!) Take care. emoticon

Sounds like you will need more than a few days of RnR! I traveled 4000 miles in 22 days, and feel like I am still recovering 5 weeks later :-)

Really hope you are enjoying your visit with family!
