I was thinking about my Dad on Wednesday as it was a year ago he died on Aug. 21. A picture came to mind that I remembered. It was of Dad and I dancing at my brother Doug's wedding! I asked Doug if he would see if he could find it and he did! It's the first and only time we danced together. Here it is. .
See how thin I was then? I weighed 100 pounds. I lost a lot of weight before I knew I was hyper-thyroid and gained it back after I had a treatment to kill my thyroid when I became hypo-thyroid.
At least I'm not having hot flashes and being cold the next minute and depressed and all that went with it. I feel so much better now and have for years. emoticon

Very precious memory...I'm coming up on the one-year mark, too on Sept. 15.

Isn't wonderful to have memories like this one? My Dad is still here but I remember all the times he did things with me. Have a great day and a wonderful week.

What a nice picture! It's good to have these remembrances of the ones we love. We hold them in our hearts forever, but sometimes the memory can fade without a visual reminder!

God bless!

What a wonderful picture of you and your Dad. So very glad you have it. I lost my Dad on my 21st birthday. Worse day of my life.

What a wonderful photo - it's so hard to loose a mom or a dad - I lost mine 12.10.10 and I'm still finding myself saying "I want my dad back" on a frequent basis. Thank you for sharing what is a precious memory for you. emoticon
