Giving this a try

Sunday, August 25, 2013

I never thought about blogging. However, I always buy journals with the intent to write in it on a daily basis, or at least a weekly basis. But, I guess life gets in the way, or I get lazy, or a combination of both.
With that said, I'm going to give this blogging stuff a go.

Here's the deal, I am a chronic yo-yo dieter. I lose the weight and then gain it back. I'm tired of it. I just want to be comfortable with myself, and right now, I'm not. I go back to work in a week and my work pants don't fit. I can get away with dresses for the next couple of weeks, but I DO NOT WANT TO BUY BIGGER PANTS!

I just want to be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle that I owe to myself. I'm done with excuses, at first it's because I'm at school and stressed, and then it's summer and I don't pay attention to a schedule.

My mind and body are done with this. emoticon

Venting among supportive people seems to help. I really relate to what you are saying. Here's to the end of yo-yo dieting!

You're right . . . we do owe it to ourselves! And you're not alone. We're all here because we want that healthy lifestyle and to be more comfortable in our own skin. Recognizing that you want it is the first step; then taking baby steps, every day after that, and continuing on that journey, day after day, is the way to success. We can do this together!

Go for you making the decision to take action! I joined SP a couple of months ago, and have found it to be a great place for support. However, it all boils down to making healthy changes and sticking with them.
    You can do this!!!
