Berry, candied nut & goat cheese salad

I have a feeling this one is a new classic.

My fiance and I went on a rare fancy dinner date at a beautiful spa and resort hotel restaurant, which was open to the public. We ordered a version of this for an appetizer, and I think this is one of the best salads out there - definitely my new favorite. It's also a great way to use summer berries.

Mesclun - 1-2 cups
Endive or frisée - if you can find some, add about 1/2 c.
Strawberries - use a handful, hull and slice
(Optional) Blueberries and raspberries - add half a handful
Candied walnuts - add 1/8 c. mashed into smaller pieces (can substitute candied almonds, pecans, or other nut you prefer)
Goat cheese - 1 oz, at room temp, it will easily become chunks

Add a tbsp of raspberry vinaigrette and enjoy.
