Today is day 3 of my re-start, and it feels good! I'm so glad I was honest with myself (and everyone else) last week and admitted that I was off track and gaining back some of the weight I've worked so hard to lose over the past 18 months. What a relief to come clean!

When I finally accepted that I was not doing my best anymore, I knew I had to give myself a fresh start. To be honest, I was going to wait until Monday to start over, or maybe even wait until September 1st. But then I thought..."If I wait until Monday or September, I might not start. And even if I do, why postpone my success until then?"



Truth is, you don't need a Monday or a new month to start. You can start right now! Even if you had a donut for breakfast and a Big Mac for lunch, who says you can't start over right this very minute? Why not show how determined you are to get on track by doing it NOW? You know what? You'll feel like such a hardcore warrior if you start fighting today, instead of putting it off until tomorrow!

  Your blogs are always inspiring to me! Our company left this morning, I have just done a 30 minute session on my stationary bike (after not doing more exercise than walking while the company was here), and feel that this is my day one. Need to get back on track eating wise as well, but that, too, will come. Keep inspiring me to stay on track!

    Thanks for blogging about this problem. I too am having to do a restart/recommit as I've been stalled for over 6 months and just this last week have managed to gain 8 pounds and get back on track with achieving my goals. Best wishes for you and your success. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Oh my, I have been there so many times. The old habits come back. Just one more bite. Oh I dont need the apple, i'll have pie... you know the drill but I have been working all summer to take offf and keep off two pounds. and now I am moving down again.
I want to join you on this rollercoaster called getting to goal.

    I restarted and have lost 7lbs. I just concentrate on one day at a time, one pound a week. Because of my age, I started where I could succeed. emoticon

    That's so emoticon . And it takes a lot of guts to admit that you've gone off track and worse still, piled on some pounds. But that's the reality of life. We do go off track once in a while.     They do say that you can decide to start any time, your right, but for me the morning or even a Monday really sets it in my mind. I know this isn't a very Sparkling attitude. I think I like Mondays because the weekends are always soooo busy. Anyway, I have faith in you Pixie. emoticon

    Way to go Pixielicious! You express exactly where I am, and where I need to go, and in such a motivating way. I have been sliding a bit myself, skipping workouts, not making the best choices, and putting off doing better. But I ran this morning, and plan to get back on track starting right now.
