I Shared the Spark Yesterday!

Sunday, August 25, 2013

Yesterday I was working out at the mega gym -- the big gym with all of the wonderful new equipment and people of every body type working out. There were these two women there who looked like they were just getting started with their workout routine. Yes, they were both heavy, but it was more of the "going through the motions of lifting the very light weight while looking around the room at what others were doing". I was just about to pass the one woman and she was watching the aerobics class and I just had the share the Spark with her. I said that I just noticed that it looked like she was new here and still learning her way around the room - she then said she was - I told her about this great free resource on the web called Spark.com where she could get information on how to lift weights to nutrition information to a great community. She thanked me and we talked a little about the gym.

I was so worried about upsetting her by going up and talking to her and here she appreciated the information I had to share. It made me feel good that I could help someone out - and share the Spark!!

That's GREAT! WAY TO GO! The resources on here are almost unlimited, especially to someone new to working out & eating right.

Early on when I joined SparkPeople, they would actually provide you with business cards to hand out (they might still), so... I often had some on hand & gave them out. I just love all the free resources on here & couldn't help but share it with others.

Awesome! Too often I talk myself out of offering help because I worry how it will be received. Good for both of you!

Just love hearing about random acts of "communication" !!

You not only Sparked that person but you showed her the path to being a communicator isn't so difficult at all. Good job AnneMargaret.
