I had to get up early because I dropped off DD at the train station at 6:45, today is first day of pre-university introductory camp.
After dropping her off I drove to the forest trail and ran an easy, slow 10K. It was 17 oC / 63 oF, overcast with a light breeze. Ideal for running : )
During the run I stayed mindful of breathing slowly and deeply (5 steps in - 5 steps out) and of the scenery, letting thoughts come and pass, without getting caught in them.
Then I made my usual breakfast oatmeal, and meditated 20 minutes while it simmered.
I followed a practice from my book: sent good wishes to people I'm grateful to / I love / who are neutral to me / I have a difficult relationship with / and myself. It was relaxing, very interesting and gave me some insights I really needed.
It is 10 am now, and I have the day to myself.
