You know when you there isn't enough cereal for a bowl, but to much to throw out? And if you're like me you don't always buy the same kind each week you end up with a lot of boxes with 1/2 a serving in them.
What do I do with it? I dump it on my salad.
Now I'm not using the kiddy kind that is full of sugar and junk, I'm using just mine. The healthy stuff.
I've been eating a lot of salads here lately and I don't add meat to them so my protein has been low. I was trying to find something to increase the protein and I found frosted shredded wheat. (I know it's got sugar in it, but it's still really good for you.) Measured me out a serving, crumbled it up, mixed in the salad. It was good!
Yes it increase the calories and sugar. but when all you're eating is lettuce, tomato, carrots, cucumber and a little dressing ... the calories from the cereal made it a meal.
So that's it, that's my blog for today.
