Wk 124 Weigh In

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Another week has come and passed, another week can kiss my a$$.

This week wasn't to bad overall. My hand still hurts pretty bad, but I've learned to live with it in it's present state. My appointment to see the hand surgeon last Wednesday was cancelled due to a family emergency with the Dr. My new appointment is next Wednesday, which will be 2.5 weeks post break. At that point in time, my body will have already been pumping calcium to the area of the break and begun knitting the bones back together. Unfortunately, the 2 pieces are not lined up, the head of the bone is twisted and partially underneath the shaft of the bone. It looks like I will be getting a re-break from the Dr. so that he can set it properly. That does not make me happy!

Anyway, onto the numbers for the week.

Weight : 209.0
Lost : 0.6
Total : 111

So it's a loss for the week, just not much of one! But still, it's moving in the right direction so I can't be too hard on myself.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Wow i hope you get in and they can get that set correctly before it heals too much. It sucks you have to wait so long Bro! Awesome job on the loss.

I broke my finger way back when and when the cast was removed it was crooked. The "experts" had the gall to tell me "oh it will straighten up" They knew da*% well what really happened. It wasn't lined up correctly in the first place. Lucky you -- you know better and will surely be able to get the attention you deserve. Is there another doctor available sooner? Love your intro! :)

Hope the hand gets behind you asap. I broke my pinky playing football with my son a few weeks ago. Still hurts - amazing what we take for granted until we can't use it. Eating and typing are comical experiences for me. Stay well.

Sorry you had to wait again for the doctor, that must be annoying.

Good for you for losing weight under such difficult circumstances! You are truly an inspiration. I am so sorry to read that the dr's appointment had to be postponed -- and what it is likely to mean for the future. emoticon
