Plank Challenge Update & other Saturday morning musings!

Happy Saturday morning everyone! How is it that I want to blog more and yet then I don't? Hum?? I need to get better at that. lol!

Just a little update on me. At the beginning of the month, I started a plank challenge. The goal was to work up to hold it 5 whole minutes by the end of the month. I'm up to, as of yesterday, 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Now, this is HARD! But I'm doing it! YIPPEE!!!

I've been getting better at other exercises too! I am feeling much better about that.

I started a couple challenges; one here and one with my coworkers. I've organized a fall challenge at work. There are 6 of us. It should be fun to keep everyone accountable. It's going to end at Christmas.

    emoticon Good for you! I had to stop due to an injury, but had only made it up to about 1 minute. I am close to being able to do those planks again.

* Never will I do that. They have been major keys that have lead to my successes. They make victories and corrected mistakes that much sweeter.

  Oh my, I didn't know there was a plank challenge also! I want to do this one, I love planks. Where are people finding all these fun challenges? emoticon

    I LOVE the blue picture, SOOO true. Forget the past. The past is the past. Now we're on to the present and the future :)

You're rocking it with the plank challenge! I did it this morning and only lasted 1 min 10 sec. Do you do it on your elbows or your hands? Either way it's a great workout I'm just curious because I don't know which way is the proper way.

That's so exciting about your work challenge. I think that will be what you really need to stay on track. I know we are great for each other, but having a group in person is even more powerful. Especially if there's a little friendly competition going on. How are you guys tracking it (pounds lost, BF%) and is there a reward? I have always wanted to do one of those but haven't ever had a workplace that it would work at yet.

    OMG I had to ask my daughter what a plank was. I think I might have to try it out since it works your core (and who couldn't use an extra core workout?). Great post.
